ThickSkin is seeking to appoint a voluntary Trustee to our Board in the role of Treasurer and Chair of the Finance Committee.
ThickSkin Theatre is an award-winning touring company We are an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation and a driving force in Wigan Borough’s growing cultural ecology. We create exciting new theatre productions in our studio theatre in the heart of Wigan town, as a launchpad for national and international touring, reaching audiences across the world.
This is an exciting time to join ThickSkin and be part of shaping the future of theatre in the North West and beyond.
We are looking for a trustee with a background in accounting or financial management. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working at Board or Senior Management level, confident to chair Finance sub-committee meetings and report to the wider board at regular Board meeting. We are keen to hear from individuals with the following expertise:
You will be working as part of a dedicated and collaborative Board supporting a charity providing much needed support to some of the most vulnerable people in society.
- Chartered accountant or CFO / CEO experience
- Experience chairing meetings at senior level
- Experience of or willingness to learn about charity governance and finance
- An interest in arts and culture
