Closing Date: Open Based: Kettering, Northaptonshire
The Friends of Kettering Art Gallery & Museum (Registered Charity 216048) is a small but active charity that has supported the work of Kettering’s most important cultural assets – the Alfred East Gallery (Northamptonshire’s only purpose-built art gallery) and Manor House Museum – for over 60 years. We raise funds to enable acquisitions that enhance their collections, conservation that ensures the survival of existing collections and exhibitions that ensure access to the collections. We also run ARTworks, an arts ‘pop-up’ in our local shopping centre, that provides outreach opportunities for the Gallery and Museum and showcases the extraordinary work of local artists.
The Gallery is in the final 12-months of a protracted closure period, following redevelopment work, and is going to need increased support from the Friends as it seeks to restore an audience lost since COVID. The Friends, in turn, need to increase our membership and scale-up our ability to generate funds. We have an Executive Committee full of experience from many fields and are seeking a Hon Treasurer with professional finance/accounting experience to complement this.
