YHA helps people—especially young people—connect with each other, nature, and heritage through hostels across England and Wales. We focus support on young people and under-served communities.
It’s a great time to join us as a Trustee. Our refreshed strategy aims to deepen our impact by building confidence, connection, and belonging.
You don’t need Board experience—just a belief in our mission, strong communication and listening skills, sound judgement, and the time to commit. We encourage applications from all backgrounds and especially welcome candidates from the global majority, whose voices are currently under-represented on our Board.
We’re also looking for Trustees with strategic expertise in areas such as:
- Finance
- Hospitality
- IT, cyber security, and data protection
- Leadership in schools
You don’t need experience in all these areas to apply. Just bring your passion and insight—we’ll support you from there.
