Beyond the Page (BtP) is a women-led organisation building confident, connected communities through inclusive language learning. Our flagship programme, United Mothers, offers free, women-only ESOL sessions in community settings across Thanet, Kent. Through trauma-informed, creative, and participatory practice, we support migrant and minority ethnic women to build confidence, reduce isolation, and participate fully in community life.
We are entering an exciting new phase as we register as a charity and grow our impact. We are seeking two Non-Executive Directors & Trustees: a Finance Lead and an Earned Income Lead. Both roles are voluntary, hybrid (online and in-person) positions, providing strategic oversight to strengthen our financial sustainability, governance, and income generation.
The Finance Lead will oversee financial planning, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring compliance and supporting long-term accountability. The Earned Income Lead will advise on enterprise, trading, and social impact models, helping to diversify income streams. Both will collaborate with the Board and executive team, contributing insight, challenge, and guidance to drive BtP’s mission forward.
