The Belay Foundation is a small but high-impact, user-led charity providing practical, trauma-responsive support to families providing permanence to children have previously been in care – through adoption, kinship care and special guardianship. Since we were founded in 2020, we’ve supported over 400 families through in-home childcare, disability benefits advice, and trauma-informed training for parents and professionals. With an annual income of £120k, we are now reviewing and relaunching our services to scale up and meet growing demand under the leadership of our new CEO.

We’re seeking a Treasurer to join our committed Board of Trustees and guide the charity through this next stage of growth. You’ll ensure robust financial systems, present clear financial reports, advise on sustainability, and oversee annual accounts.

You’ll bring:

  • Qualification (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or senior finance experience
  • Knowledge of charity finance and reporting
  • Strategic and operational financial skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration

Commitment: Around 6+ hours per month (mainly online meetings) plus one annual in-person away day.
