The South West Federation of Museums & Galleries has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our friendly and supportive Board of Trustees as Treasurer. We are looking for someone with good financial acumen able to draw up simple budgets and accounts. The Treasurer supports the trustees with the financial management of the organisation and helps to ensure our legal obligations to the Charity Commission and Companies House are met.
The South West Fed is the oldest regional museums federation in the country and is a
respected and valued organisation in the sector. We are a small independent charity
(113399) and a registered company (05536131) with a turnover in the region of £2-5k. The role of Treasurer would suit an individual with experience of financial management for a small organisation and an interest in museums, galleries and heritage. Being a trustee for the South West Fed is an opportunity to enhance personal / professional skills and expertise at a strategic/board level within a well-respected, regional sector organisation.
