METRO Charity is a charity dedicated to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion. Operating across London, Kent, Medway, and Hertfordshire, METRO delivers impactful services in five key areas: Sexual and Reproductive Health, Community, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Youth, and HIV.

With our current Treasurer transitioning to a Trustee role, we are seeking an experienced Finance professional to lead as our new Treasurer. As Treasurer, you will lead METRO’s Finance sub-committee, advising the Board of Trustees on financial matters to inform strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities include implementing effective financial controls, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. The role requires around 1-2 days per month, including attendance at six Board meetings, six sub-committee meetings, and two strategy days annually.

Ideal candidates will have financial management expertise, experience in the charity sector, and an accounting qualification. METRO prioritizes equity, encouraging applications from underrepresented groups, including individuals from Black, Asian, and minoritized communities, as well as disabled, Trans, and non-binary people.

Joining METRO means shaping a more inclusive society and empowering communities to achieve health and wellbeing. Informal webinars are available for prospective applicants to learn more before applying.
