National Numeracy is looking to appoint up a new Hon Treasurer, to replace the retiring trustee, who has reached their maximum term limit.
This is a key appointments to help steer the charity through its next phase of development. The new trustee will be inspiring, dynamic and ambitious individuals who are committed to making a significant and lasting improvement to numeracy levels across the UK.
Trustees are encouraged to get to know National Numeracy well and to respond to opportunities to involve themselves in National Numeracy activities. Beyond board meetings this might include supporting key initiatives, such as National Numeracy Day, meeting with prospective strategic funders, or providing guidance on major projects to the Executive team as appropriate.
Whilst the charity is based in the South East of England, we are looking for the right candidates from across the UK and are willing to pay travel expenses for meeting attendance if required. We are also committed to broadening the diversity of the board and would like to hear from applicants who can contribute greater diversity of representation, experience and thinking, including Black, Asian and minority ethnic people, LGBTQ+ people and people with disabilities.
