The Richard Whitehead Foundation is a small charity with big aspirations to create social change and use the power of sport for the benefit of disabled people. We believe in the impact of sport: the increased mental well-being, the confidence, the self-esteem, the social inclusion and employability which can come from it. We want disabled people to be able to thrive and benefit from all these opportunities.
We are seeking a person with a financial and/or accounting background to be our new Treasurer at the Richard Whitehead Foundation. The Treasurer is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the charity and making the other trustees aware of progress against the annual budget and any longer-term financial plans. We have plans for growth and development of the charity to enable more disabled people to achieve their ambitions through sport. The Treasurer, alongside other trustees will be key in overseeing and leading this process. Previous Board experience is not essential.
