Closing Date: 5th November 2024. Based: Ramsey, Cambridgeshire
Ramsey Rural Museum is a charity and independent museum run entirely by volunteers. Located on the edge of the Fens, and overlooking farmland the collections and displays reflect local history from medieval times to the end of the 20th century. Housed in barns and traditional buildings the Trustees are working on development plans to ensure a successful future for the Museum.
The Board of Trustees seek to appoint a new Honorary Treasurer to both meet its charitable obligations and to help the museum grow and realise its vision. The current Treasurer has successfully served on the Board for several years and is planning to step away as they reach the end of their term; the Museum is keen to recruit as soon as possible to ensure a smooth handover.
This is a voluntary role. A background in finance would be helpful as would experience of working in a similar committee or charity. An interest in our collections, museums or rural/agricultural life is desirable. This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills to help run a successful, small, independent, fully accredited museum and take part in shaping its future development.
