Enable Ability is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities in Portsmouth and surrounding areas. Established in 1950, the charity offers a wide range of services, including specialist play schemes, befriending programs, and a social enterprise that helps young adults gain skills towards employment. Enable Ability focuses on empowering its service users by developing skills, confidence, and independence. The charity’s work is supported by a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, and trustees, and it collaborates with local authorities and businesses to ensure inclusive opportunities. Through its efforts, Enable Ability helps create a more inclusive and supportive community.

The current honorary treasurer is retiring at the end of this year. Over his years in tenure his role has expanded to include a number of operational financial tasks. The charity is currently looking to hire a part time finance officer to take on those operational tasks and is looking to take on a replacement treasurer in a more traditional role. The charity is based in Copnor, Portsmouth and occasional office presence will be required there and at Landport Community centre where the Social Enterprise runs.
