A gold-standard, west London based youth centre providing high quality youth work is seeking a volunteer Treasurer. Living in an area with some of the highest levels of child poverty in the UK, our young people grow up amid challenges such as youth violence and entrenched gang culture. Our mission is to help them fulfil their potential and boost their long term outcomes by offering opportunities such as safe spaces and trusted relationships, and delivering high-quality recreational activities and skills training from our purpose-built youth centre.
Our centre’s facilities – which include a sports hall, art room, professional kitchen, and state-of-the-art media suite – allow us to deliver a rich variety of opportunities in-house. Besides recreational opportunities, we also introduce our young people to potential career pathways in fields such as the creative industries, music, fashion, dance, photography, filmmaking, sports, journalism, radio broadcasting and cookery.
We have an annual income of around £1M and you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of the organisation and playing an integral role in ensuring the charity remains on a stable financial footing.
