Marc Brew Company (MBC) is looking to appoint new trustees to our Board of Directors.
MBC is a disabled, queer led, inclusive contemporary dance company. We collaborate with diverse artists to create powerful performances and inspire participation.
Since its inception, the company has blazed a trail of high-quality work, bringing together exceptional artists with and without disabilities, creating powerful and engaging performances for audiences of all ages, reaching over 30,000 people across the world.
The Board of Directors are responsible for establishing and maintaining the values and aims of the organisation, and, with the Artistic Director and Executive Producer, developing long-term strategies and planning. Trustees should be engaged and passionate about Marc Brew Company’s work and be committed to the future development of inclusive dance in Scotland and internationally.
MBC is interested in recruiting trustees with experience in the following areas (this does not exclude potential candidates with other skills):
Financial management
Fundraising and Development
Advocacy
Digital knowledge
Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
Human Resources / Fair Work
Environmental issues / Climate Crisis
Charitable / voluntary work
The Board meets four times per year online in February, April, July and November, including both the AGM and an annual Board Away day.
