South East Dance is a charity that champions dance as a force for positive change. Based at The Dance Space in Brighton, we support artists at every stage of their careers, deliver dance programmes with and for local communities, and present performances, workshops and events that invite people of all ages and backgrounds to experience the joy of dance. We work to remove barriers to participation, promote inclusion and wellbeing, and create opportunities for people to connect through creativity.
We are seeking a Trustee with Finance Expertise to join our Board and help shape the next phase of our organisation’s development. This voluntary role is ideal for someone with strong financial skills—such as accountancy, audit, financial management, or strategic finance experience—who is passionate about the role the arts can play in communities. The Trustee will support effective governance, offer financial insight to help guide decision-making, and work alongside our Treasurer and senior leadership team to ensure strong financial oversight and resilience.
