AMR Action UK (formerly Antibiotic Research UK) is the UK Patient Organisation for Antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Its legitimacy to advocate for patients, with policy-makers and with NHS systems, comes from its insight, and therefore through its patient support services, patient-focussed research and direct patient and public engagement activities.
The Treasurer is a key member of the AMR Action UK Finance Committee, working closely with the CEO and Charity Accountant to safeguard the charity’s financial health. The role carries a watchdog function over all aspects of financial management, ensuring robust governance, financial viability, and adherence to proper processes, controls, and statutory requirements.
As a small charity, trustees (including the Treasurer) may at times be required to be actively involved beyond formal Finance Committee meetings, providing scrutiny, advice, and leadership on areas of special expertise.
