Young Concern Trust supports annually over 1,500 children, young people, their families and the professionals around them to improve their emotional and mental wellbeing by accessing effective support. The charity has existed since 1988 and today provides support through 1-1 counselling, family therapy, play therapy, art therapy, drama therapy, dance therapy, anxiety groups, KYSS groups, self-esteem courses, boys’ groups, creative spaces and much more.
Children and young people are struggling, and the mental health system is overwhelmed. YCT stands ready to make a difference, identifying individuals to receive support who may not be reached through conventional avenues, and provides high quality therapy for with no diagnosis required.
Our Board meetings are held every 8 weeks, typically 8 a year. You will be expected to attend these meetings as well as our Annual General Meeting and one-off events.
