Enable Ability is a UK-based charity dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities in Portsmouth and surrounding areas. Established in 1950, the charity offers a wide range of services, including specialist play schemes, befriending programs, and a social enterprise that helps young adults gain skills towards employment. Enable Ability focuses on empowering its service users by developing skills, confidence, and independence. The charity’s work is supported by a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, and trustees, and it collaborates with local authorities and businesses to ensure inclusive opportunities. Through its efforts, Enable Ability helps create a more inclusive and supportive community.
The current honorary treasurer is retiring at the end of this year. Over his years in tenure his role has expanded to include a number of operational financial tasks. The charity is currently looking to hire a part time finance officer to take on those operational tasks and is looking to take on a replacement treasurer in a more traditional role. The charity is based in Copnor, Portsmouth and occasional office presence will be required there and at Landport Community centre where the Social Enterprise runs.

Save the Family offers temporary housing and round-the-clock support to homeless families with complex needs, shaped through a history informed by trauma.
We are looking for a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. Above all, a Trustee must be committed to the aims of Save the Family and to helping vulnerable homeless families overcome their problems and restore their lives.

The Letherhead Institute is a late Victorian building left to the town by a wealthy benefactor for the purpose of education and recreation of the people of Leatherhead. 70% of the building is let for these charitable purposes with the remaining 30% let commercially in order to finance the running and maintenance costs.
There is a panel of trustees and a part time administrator. We are looking for a replacement treasurer and ideally 1-2 more trustees. Ideally the treasurer would have some relevant experience but not wholly necessary.

Age Concern Orpington & District is a not-for-profit charitable company based in the centre of Orpington, south east London. It is a standalone organisation, fully responsible for all aspects of decision making and operations pertaining to the charity and the services it provides.
We currently provide day care services at the Saxon Day for older people and some people with learning disabilities in the local community. These services are delivered by a team of salaried staff with help from volunteers.
Our Board consists of a number of Trustees including those fulfilling the roles of Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer. Ideally our Trustees will have business or general management experience. Experience of finance or budget management is helpful, as is experience of working in a regulated environment. Experience of health or social care is useful although not essential.
Being a member of the Board of Trustees of Age Concern Orpington & District provides a great opportunity to contribute to the local community and in particular, to the wellbeing of older people.
We have a vacancy for the role of Honorary Treasurer as our current treasurer will be leaving us in the near future, date to be agreed. Our current treasurer has said that he will try not to leave us without a treasurer in post, if he possibly can.

We are seeking a person with a financial and/or accounting background to act as our Treasurer. The role does not require “hands on” accounting. The Treasurer is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the charity and making the other trustees aware of progress against the annual budget and any longer-term financial plans. They will chair the bi-monthly finance committee meetings. We are growing and developing our services to fit with the presenting need of the families in the area and trustees will be key in overseeing and leading this process. |

The Volunteer Centre West Berkshire matches volunteers with local need, as well as providing Handybus, voluntary car and Shopmobility schemes, and general advice and bespoke support for local voluntary and charity groups.
Set up in 1974 to support local communities and charities, primarily in West Berkshire, we became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in 2014 and are now celebrating our 50th year.
Income in 2023 was £270k, matched by almost-similar spending as in most previous years, so we’re not a large organisation, with our finances managed day-to-day by our Finance Officer and CEO.
The Centre would like about four hours of your time per month, more at Year End and AGM times, plus quarterly online Board meetings.

The National Heritage Ironwork Group seeks to appoint a new Treasurer. This is a volunteer post ideal for someone from a financial or general business background who has an interest in traditional crafts or historic buildings. Location is not important as the majority of our meetings are online, although we try to meet up in person once or twice a year.
We are a small educational charity dedicated to the needs of the sector, and committed to preserving our outstanding ironwork heritage for future generations. Our Council is made up of around 20 volunteers from a variety of professional fields including blacksmithing, education, architecture, and engineering. They share a passion for historic ironwork, high-level craftsmanship and the passing on of traditional skills. We have one part-time member of staff who coordinates the work of the Group which includes: holding education & training events, publishing guidance resources, running an award scheme, and more recently piloting an accreditation scheme for blacksmith conservators.

Led by a growing group of Londoners and iInspired by Doughnut Economics, we have come together to communicate a better vision for London’s economy, one that is inherently fair, green and also exciting!
We argue that as one of the most influential and important cities in the world, London needs to be a leader in adopting better, fairer, and regenerative approaches to its economy.
We believe that every person in London should be entitled to a minimum standard of living (social foundation) and that the city needs to operate within defined environmental limits (ecological ceiling).
We have recently become a Community Interest Company and secured our first stream of funding to develop some interesting projects in the Capital. We’re looking for someone with financial nouse to help us with our accounting. Ideally you’d be happy to take on the role as treasurer and join the board, but even some initial advice and support would be welcome.
