Visably (formerly British Wireless for the Blind Fund) is a national charity helping people living with sight loss access the technology, audio solutions, services and support that can make everyday life easier and more independent.
We’re at an exciting point in our development. Our recent rebrand reflects a wider transformation as we evolve to meet the changing needs of people with sight loss in an increasingly digital world. As we look to the future, strengthening our financial resilience and long-term sustainability is a key priority.
We’re seeking a Treasurer to join our Board and play an active role in that journey. Working closely with our Chief Executive, Financial Controller and fellow trustees, you’ll lead on financial oversight, help shape long-term financial planning and strategy, chair our quarterly Finance Sub-Group, and support the year-end accounts and audit process.
We’re looking for someone with strong financial planning and strategy experience, a collaborative, hands-on approach and enthusiasm for our mission. You don’t need experience of the sight loss sector, but you should be ready to use your financial expertise to make a genuine difference.
The role is voluntary, with reasonable expenses reimbursed.
Based: Remote / UK-wide (registered office is in Lichfield but the majority of meetings are held online via Teams, with the AGM in London)
