The Hebridean Whale & Dolphin Trust (HWDT) is looking for a hands-on treasurer to support our financial management and reporting processes and help develop our financial strategy.
The HWDT Treasurer plays a crucial role in supporting the whole board, CEO and Finance Officer to oversee the financial health of the organisation. This position involves:
• Providing strategic financial leadership to the board.
• Monitoring the overall financial performance and highlighting financial risks.
• Ensuring the Trust’s compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements.
• Supporting the Finance Officer and CEO with financial matters and the preparation of annual accounts and quarterly management accounts.
The commitment is to attend four board meetings (online) plus an online AGM and an in person annual away day, with a small amount of time required in preparation. Contributions to specific tasks, ad hoc activities and relevant sub-groups will be requested throughout the year.
