Deadline: Ongoing
The Anglo-Danish Society aims to improve the mutual understanding between Britain and Denmark and is open to anybody who has an interest in getting to know both countries better. It organises a varied annual programme of social events and, most importantly, also runs a Scholarship Programme for British and Danish postgraduate students. The Society is managed entirely by volunteers, with a Council that meets 3 times a year.
The Society is seeking a Treasurer to take on the key role of managing all aspects of its finances, including: compliance with the law and financial and charitable regulations, good governance, transaction accounting, paying accounts, scholarship grants payment, sales invoicing, investments and deposits, membership subscriptions, event budgeting, preparing accounts for audit, giving a report to the Annual General Meeting, providing an annual report to the Charities Commission and making an annual Gift Aid claim.
The position would suit a volunteer with relevant accounting qualifications and experience who wishes to join a friendly, established small charity.
