Contraceptive Research Trust aims to fund research for advancements in contraceptive technologies for both men and women so that couples can have greater reproductive autonomy.

The Contraceptive Research Trust is seeking a committed and detail-oriented Treasurer to oversee the charity’s financial governance and sustainability. The Treasurer will work closely with the Board of Trustees to ensure strong financial management in support of our mission to advance contraceptive research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and cash flow management
  • Monitor income, grants, and research funding allocations
  • Ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting to the Board
  • Support preparation of annual accounts and liaise with independent examiners/auditors
  • Ensure compliance with charity law, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to support long-term growth

Person Specification:

  • Experience in finance, accounting, or financial oversight
  • Understanding of charity governance and regulatory compliance (desirable)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to transparency
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders

Previous trustee experience is welcome but not essential. This is an opportunity to contribute financial expertise to a charity supporting vital reproductive health research.
