Deadline: 1 May 2026
The TrusteeWorks Team at Reach Volunteering is supporting Honour Thy Woman Group in recruiting a new Treasurer. Based in Gloucestershire, Honour Thy Woman is a UK-registered charity (No. 1201016) dedicated to empowering women affected by domestic abuse, providing compassionate, person-centred support that helps survivors rebuild confidence, reclaim their lives, and create positive futures.
Founded in 2021, the charity has grown into a trusted community resource, building strong local partnerships to enhance its services. Its holistic approach supports women and their children from diverse backgrounds, focusing on emotional wellbeing, practical support, and community connection.
The Treasurer will provide strategic financial oversight as a key member of the Board of Trustees, ensuring robust systems, transparency, and compliance with UK charity law. Responsibilities include reporting on financial health, maintaining controls, and supporting governance.
We seek a qualified accountant (or equivalent experience) with financial literacy, attention to detail, integrity, and sound judgment. Charity finance experience is desirable but not essential. Candidates should share our values and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
This is a unique opportunity to safeguard the charity’s finances, support survivor-centred services, and contribute to the growth of a vital, women-led organisation.
