Kairos Women Working Together was founded in 1999 by a group of women in Coventry who recognised that those facing multiple disadvantage and therefore most at risk of sexual exploitation were falling through the cracks of existing services. From grassroots beginnings, Kairos has grown into a respected, specialist women’s organisation rooted in the community it serves. 

Kairos is entering a defining chapter. As we finalise our next five-year strategy, we’re focused on deepening our impact and strengthening our financial resilience — so we can keep showing up for women who face some of the harshest injustices in our society. 

We’re not chasing growth for growth’s sake. Our priority is sustainability: building a diverse, reliable income base, improving our systems, and ensuring every financial decision reflects our mission and values. 

As Treasurer, you’ll be central to this work — leading Board-level financial oversight, reviewing monthly management accounts, supporting statutory submissions, and helping shape an effective fundraising and finance strategy alongside the Senior Leadership Team. 

 You’ll help us: 

• Strengthen and diversify our income, with a clear eye on long-term sustainability 

• Improve financial policies, processes, and planning 

• Ensure compliance, transparency and sound decision-making at every level 

 This role is open to women only, as permitted under the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9, Part 1, GOR). 

Based: Our Women’s Hub is based in the Old Grammar School, 31 Silver Street, Coventry CV1 1HP. Trustee positions are generally worked remotely with attendance at an annual in-person Board Development day.
