Reach Volunteering is supporting POW Nottingham to recruit a new Treasurer to help shape the next chapter of the organisation as it rebuilds and prepares to reopen its services. POW supports the rights of sex workers and people at risk of exploitation, providing accessible health and wellbeing services alongside advocacy, education and partnership working to challenge violence and stigma.

The Treasurer will provide strategic oversight of POW’s finances, ensuring strong governance, effective controls and long-term sustainability. Working alongside staff, external accountants and auditors, they will support financial planning and compliance, safeguard assets, contribute to fundraising strategy and help the Board understand the organisation’s financial position.

We are looking for a qualified accountant, or someone qualified by experience, with sound judgement, strong organisational and problem-solving skills and the ability to combine strategic thinking with a practical approach. Experience of complex funding, governance or organisational environments would be valuable, as would a genuine commitment to the rights of sex workers and those at risk of exploitation.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while helping strengthen POW’s governance, financial sustainability and future impact. The expected commitment is approximately one day a month.
