Deadline: ongoing

Sheffield Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus (SHASBAH) supports people with the conditions and their families to get the most out of life. We do this through advice on form filling, signposting on education, housing and benefits. We offer regular events for members and their carers to come together and spend time with others in similar circumstances. We host accessible and inclusive social events and groups to reduce isolation while building confidence and independence skills. SHASBAH also provides small-scale grants to its membership.

SHASBAH needs a Volunteer Treasurer to manage the charity finances and help prepare accounts. SHASBAH was formed 60 years ago and is a growing community. The treasurer will work with our director of services in managing the charity finances, spending and accounts as well as supporting grant applications for future funding. Trustees meet quarterly via zoom or in person. All our trustees are invited to attend all our events throughout the year and get to know our membership and community. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills to make a real difference, broaden your board-level experience, meet inspiring people, and be part of a welcoming community.
