SpotlightYOPD is a small charity formed in 2016 (Charity Number 1165177).
It is UK based and it’s primary function is to raise awareness of Young Onset Parkinsons Disease (YOPD) and provide support to those living with the condition.
The charity provides guidance and advocacy and a much needed network through its various social media platforms, campaigns and lobbying for better diagnosis, treatment options and exploration of a cure.
We have no paid staff, and many of our volunteers either have the condition themselves, or a family link, or have a clinical background.
We have both a Trustee board and an Executive Committee.
The Treasurer vacancy becomes vacant in Sumner 2026, we are looking for someone before then to allow for training and handover. There is a full role description available.
Based: UK / trustees and volunteers work remotely and meetings are virtual.
