The Carers’ Centre is seeking a committed, financially experienced individual to join our Board of Trustees as Treasurer. This is a rewarding opportunity to use your financial expertise to help shape the future of a charity that provides vital support to unpaid carers across Bath and North East Somerset.
As Treasurer, you will provide strategic oversight of the charity’s financial affairs, ensuring strong governance, financial sustainability, and compliance with charity and company law. Working closely with fellow trustees and the leadership team, you will oversee budgets, accounts, financial reporting, reserves, investments, and risk management, supporting informed decision-making that enables the charity to deliver its mission.
We’re looking for someone with financial qualifications and/or significant financial management experience. Knowledge of charity finance, governance, or fundraising would be beneficial, but you’ll be able to interpret financial information, provide constructive challenge, and communicate complex financial matters clearly. You’ll also be willing to support staff with occasional financial advice between board meetings.
