North Yorkshire Music Therapy Centre (NYMTC) is a small, registered charity established in 1989, providing professional music therapy and music-based wellbeing services across North Yorkshire. We support people of all ages and abilities, including children and adults with additional needs, people experiencing mental health difficulties, and older people living with dementia. Our three therapists and community musicians work in schools, care homes, healthcare settings, and community venues. With groups and individual clients.
We are seeking a new voluntary Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. The day-to-day bookkeeping and administration is carried out by our Office Administrator, meaning the role is primarily one of financial oversight, guidance and governance rather than routine bookkeeping. The outgoing Treasurer is available to provide a handover and transitional support.
Based: Currently Wath Court, Hovingham, YO62 4NN. The majority of our work is based in and around Scarborough, Malton, and York.
