Deadline: 12 June 2026
Disability Advice North East Suffolk is seeking a trustee with financial experience to be our Honorary Treasurer overseeing the charity’s financial governance and sustainability. You will work closely with fellow trustees to ensure strong financial management in support of our mission to be the ‘go to’ charity for people & organisations in North East Suffolk seeking to enable, inform & effect change for those who are living with disabilities.
You will be a key trustee so it would be desirable to have previous experience. You need to be a strategic thinker; a good communicator, particularly when explaining finances to non-financial people; be politically astute; not afraid to put forward ideas; a team player. All duties can be carried out remotely.
This is a year of change for the Charity as some long-serving trustees are stepping down and new ones are coming on board. 2026 is our 40th anniversary – a time to reflect on what we’ve achieved. We will be working with an external consultant to develop the skills needed going forward as trustees in a changing world and forming our new strategic plan to run from 2027-2030. That makes it a great time to join us.
