CPRE Somerset works hard to enhance, promote and protect the Somerset countryside, including the rural communities within it. We are an independent charity, part of the national CPRE network. CPRE, the Campaign to Protect Rural England, has been standing up for the countryside for 100 years.
CPRE Somerset needs a new Honorary Treasurer to ensure we have strong financial management for the future. This role is mostly home-based. The role is very flexible and allows you to carry out activities around your other commitments while attending occasional meetings at various locations throughout Somerset. This voluntary role will take around 1 hour per week, with meetings every couple of months, some online and some face to face.

As Treasurer, you’ll oversee financial management, ensuring robust controls and policies are in place. The day-to-day finances are handled by our office team using QuickBooks. The company’s financial structures and systems are well established, demonstrating a long history of efficient financial management. The role involves five meetings a year (3-4 in Bromley-by-Bow, 1-2 online).
