Cherry Trees is a charity providing home from home short breaks for children with complex disabilities. We offer a lifeline to vulnerable children and their families. It is an exciting time to join our dedicated Board of Trustees and play a vital role in this much valued charity. We have recently opened a second home in Hampshire, adding to our “Outstanding” Ofsted rated Surrey home. More growth is on the horizon, and we are building our internal capabilities to support this including HR, Finance, Fundraising and Communications.

Thames Reach is a leading London- based charity with a particular focus on rough sleeping, and helping people who are, have been, or are at risk of rough sleeping to find decent homes, build supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives. The charity provides innovative services aimed at preventing rough sleeping, intervening where people are sleeping rough, and helping people to recover from the impact of life on the streets.
The Board has ultimate responsibility for the governance of Thames Reach. As a board member, in partnership with Board colleagues, you are responsible for determining Thames Reach’s objectives and policies, the acquisition and use of resources in order to achieve the organisation’s aims, the overall control of Thames Reach’s operations and for appointing and, if necessary, dismissing the Chief Executive.
As well as interest in and commitment to ending street homelessness as a board member and the ability and interest in providing strategic oversight for the organisation, we are hoping to recruit members with specific skills in finance/accounting.
We are looking for candidates with knowledge of financial management in medium-large complex organisations, particularly those with knowledge of Charity Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) requirements.

The Gardens Trust is looking to appoint a new Treasurer and we’d love it to be you!
The Gardens Trust is the only UK national charity dedicated to conserving historic parks and gardens for everyone to enjoy today and in future. We campaign for them, undertake research and conservation work, and encourage public appreciation and involvement. We are a statutory consultee in the English planning system, publish an internationally respected journal, and are passionate about having an impact in local communities. We work closely with volunteers in 35 County Gardens Trusts and also the Welsh Historic Gardens Trust.
The ideal candidate may have an interest in gardens and garden history, but more important is a desire to support a small, established and ambitious organisation, and a willingness to learn and adapt skills to our needs are the most important qualities we are looking for.
Based: We are based in London but cover the whole country and mainly work remotely.

Reach TrusteeWorks is supporting Revival – Wiltshire RASAC in recruiting a new Treasurer. Revival is an independent charity providing free, confidential counselling and support to survivors of rape and sexual abuse aged 16+, across Swindon and Wiltshire.
The Treasurer will oversee the charity’s finances, ensuring effective controls, compliance, and clear reporting to the Board. This role combines strategic oversight with guidance and support for other trustees, helping the organisation remain financially strong.

Who We Are Westmill Sustainable Energy Trust (WeSET) is a registered charity established by members of the Westmill Wind Farm and Solar Co-operatives. The charity’s activities are delivered by a team of knowledgeable trustees, officers, and volunteers.
What We Do WeSET promotes sustainable energy deployment via various streams, primarily through guiding visitors on tours of the Westmill Wind Farm and Solar Park and delivering learning opportunities through education to encourage sustainable energy adoption. This core focus of supporting local energy conservation is mainly delivered within a 25-mile radius of Westmill.
Brief Job Description The Honorary Treasurer is a Trustee and will oversee the financial matters of the charity in line with good practice and in accordance with our governing document and legal requirements and will report to the board of trustees at regular intervals about the financial health of the organisation. The Honorary Treasurer will also ensure that effective financial measures, controls and procedures are put in place and are appropriate for the charity.

Woodcraft Folk is looking for a Volunteer Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees and help shape the future of our charity.
Woodcraft Folk is a movement for children and young people, empowering them to build a fairer, more sustainable world through co-operative play, education and outdoor activities. As Treasurer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our financial planning and governance is robust.
About the role
As a key member of our Board, you will:
– Oversee and ensure strong financial governance.
– Support budgeting, financial planning, and risk management.
– Scrutinise management accounts and annual reports.
– Advise on charity financial regulations and best practices.
– Act as a key point of contact for financial queries from staff and volunteers.
Commitment
– Attend six Trustee Board meetings and four Finance & General Purposes Committee meetings per year (a mix of online and in-person).
– Meet every 6-8 weeks with the Head of Resources for financial oversight.
Who we are looking for
– Financial qualification or relevant experience.
– Understanding of charity accounting & reporting.
– Ability to explain financial matters to non-finance professionals.
– Experience with governance and/or membership organisations (desirable).

The Overall Role
To monitor the financial administration of the charity and report to the Board at regular intervals on its state of financial health, in line with best practice, and in compliance with the constitution and legal requirements.
Time Commitment
Approximately 1 – 2 days a month, including preparation for and attendance at 3 Board meetings per year (at our base in Coventry/hybrid), annual away day and additional subcommittee meetings. The Honorary Treasurer will also spend time working directly with Highly Sprung Directors.
