Mediale CIO is an international media arts charity based in North Yorkshire, originally founded in 2016 to celebrate the designation of York as the UK’s first and only UNESCO Creative City of Media Arts. Working with technologically innovative and ambitious artists, we produce art with human connection, empathy and experience at its core.

We’re keen to find a trustee with key skills and experience in financial management surrounding charities, arts organisations and/or creative digital organisations.

By joining the Board, you will be joining a committed and dynamic team who have a keen investment in the all work that they do.

The British Institute at Ankara (BIAA) June 9, 2025

The British Institute at Ankara (BIAA) seeks to appoint a new Honorary Treasurer to its Council of Management.

The BIAA was founded in 1947 and incorporated in the 1956 cultural agreement between the Republic of Türkiye and the United Kingdom. It is internationally renowned for conducting world-class research in Türkiye and the Black Sea region across the humanities and social sciences.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the closing date of Monday, 7 July 2025. It is hoped that there will be a transition period, with the new Honorary Treasurer working closely with the outgoing Honorary Treasurer before their position is formalised at the next AGM in December 2025.

Thornton Rose provides riding opportunities for people of all ages and disabilities to enjoy a safe, stimulating, therapeutic and recreational sport. Not all of our participants ride, we run many different styles of sessions, including work on the ground with and without horses. Such sessions are geared towards supporting mental health for everyone from young carers to families and individuals living with dementia.

We are a member of the Riding for the Disabled Association, where our vision is to improve the lives of people with disabilities through activities connected with horses.

Our mission is to enable and nurture talented individuals from low-socioeconomic backgrounds to thrive within world-leading postgraduate study and become STEM leaders.

We believe that family income should not be a barrier to the pursuit of excellence. 

Through fully-funded Scholarships and access to a community of pioneering leaders, we enable and nurture talented students to pursue Masters and PhDs in STEM subjects at some of the leading research universities in the UK.

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to provide strategic guidance on treasury management and support the Foundation with long-term financial modelling. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable engaging with the detail, offering practical advice on management accounts, and contributing to robust financial oversight.

As Martingale transitions to an independent charity, we anticipate this role evolving into that of Treasurer, with key responsibilities for year-end accounts and reporting to the Charity Commission. While experience with charity accounts is preferred, it is not essential.

Martingale Foundation is currently incubated by Purposeful Ventures, which sets the investment strategy and manages the Foundation’s scholarship funds (approximately £5 million). An external finance consultancy has also been appointed to support financial administration.

The Friends of Kettering Art Gallery & Museum May 14, 2025

The Friends of Kettering Art Gallery & Museum (Registered Charity 216048) is a small but active charity that has supported the work of Kettering’s most important cultural assets – the Alfred East Gallery (Northamptonshire’s only purpose-built art gallery) and Manor House Museum – for over 60 years. We raise funds to enable acquisitions that enhance their collections, conservation that ensures the survival of existing collections and exhibitions that ensure access to the collections. We also run ARTworks, an arts ‘pop-up’ in our local shopping centre, that provides outreach opportunities for the Gallery and Museum and showcases the extraordinary work of local artists.

The Gallery is in the final 12-months of a protracted closure period, following redevelopment work, and is going to need increased support from the Friends as it seeks to restore an audience lost since COVID. The Friends, in turn, need to increase our membership and scale-up our ability to generate funds. We have an Executive Committee full of experience from many fields and are seeking a Hon Treasurer with professional finance/accounting experience to complement this.

The Sheila McKechnie Foundation (SMK) was set up in June 2005 in memory of legendary campaigner, Sheila McKechnie.

In a free and hopeful society, people need to know they have the power to make a difference: that they are able to envisage change and can push for that change to happen. For nearly two decades, we have helped all sorts of individuals, causes and charities to find their power as changemakers – as campaigners. We support, connect and champion these campaigners, equipping them to go after the social change they seek.

We are looking for a Treasurer Trustee to join our Board and to lead financial oversight as Chair of our Finance Committee. This is a crucial and rewarding role supporting the sustainability of the organisation.

As well as the responsibilities of being a trustee, which the Treasurer shares with all the Board members, the Treasurer is expected to be the financial expert on the Board, and to provide advice on all financial matters. Their role is to ensure the Board fulfils its duties to ensure the sound financial health of SMK, with systems in place to ensure financial accountability and sustainability.

Do you have financial oversight and enthusiasm to help an organisation that supports older people across in Berkshire, an independent local charity, part of the Age UK brand?

With origins in the 1950s, and now a thriving £1m+ charity that works with and for older people across the whole county, Age UK Berkshire is looking for our new Treasurer, to support the Board and CEO in our financial governance for the future.

You won’t be preparing day-to-day financial statements, as these are provided by our outsourced accountancy firm. Rather, you’ll have a strategic oversight of our finances, bringing your analyses and advice to help us to strengthen and grow our services.

In 2023/2024, our total income was £1.74m, our Balance Sheet almost £2m. Income the year before was £943k, against expenditure of £837k = we’re growing!

We ask for about six hours per month which includes all meetings, discussions, etc., a little more at year-end and at our AGM. The Board meets quarterly with at least two of those meetings online, plus an annual FTF strategic away-day.
