Founded in 1991, the CGD Society has spent over 30 years supporting individuals and families affected by chronic granulomatous disorder, a life-limiting and life-threatening genetic condition. In this time, we have provided direct financial support to help those affected work their way through the health system, founded and continue to fund a dedicated clinical nursing service in partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital, and facilitated years of medical research into treatments. We also founded the Jeans for Genes Campaign, a national fundraising event that has raised over £45 million for the genetic disorder community and which in 2025 celebrated its 30th anniversary.
We are now seeking an experienced accountant or finance manager to join our organisation as a trustee and serve as our Treasurer. This role will give you great exposure to how charities function at a board level and how directors provide oversight to the organisation’s finances. This role is very suitable for both first-time and experienced trustees, and our current staff and board are very happy to guide you through the board dynamics.

Cyclox, Oxford’s cycling advocacy charity, is looking for a new treasurer, following the retirement of Ben Sawyer.
Our treasurer is responsible for the financial oversight of the charity and preparing the annual accounts but much day-to-day work, such as payroll and dealing with invoices, is done by our staff or contracted out. One of our staff members also takes the lead on fundraising.
The treasurer’s role is a voluntary one but reasonable expenses are covered. You will also have the opportunity to shape the future of a vibrant, growing charity.
The treasurer does not need to be an accountant but must have a reasonable grasp of figures. They would normally also become a trustee and attend around 10 board meetings a year, either in person or online. Ideally, they would be based in or close to Oxford and committed to our aims of getting more people to cycle in Oxford, more often and more safely.

We work towards our mission by:
- Advocating: We lobby key decision makers such as the city and county councils and the two universities to raise awareness of cycling and to call for better cycling provision.
- Collaborating: We work with local active travel groups, the universities and other partners.
- Engaging: We listen to and learn from our members and communities.
- Taking action: We work with schools and other parts of the community to offer practical help to those who face barriers to cycling. This work is often grant-funded.

The Strawberry Hill Trust seeks a new Honorary Treasurer to lead the Board on financial issues. Strawberry Hill is run by a Board of Trustees from a variety of backgrounds and skill-sets. The Dvořák Society for Czech and Slovak Music was founded in 1974. The purpose of the Society is the advancement of knowledge, understanding and appreciation of music from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It aims to educate and inform its members and others about the music, composers and performers from these two countries. The Society is based in the UK and welcomes members, both individual and corporate from all countries.
There are 245 members of which 14 are corporates (both non-business and business), the majority of whom are in the UK.
There is a quarterly Newsletter and a biennial Journal and also a series of Occasional Publications. There is an e-shop on the website for the sale of publications to both members and non-members. DS Publications are available in hard copy or in digital formats.
Charitable activity includes support for new recordings, new publications, scholarships for music students and other activities as approved by the Trustees.
There are no paid officers or Trustees. The web-site is managed by an outside individual and receives a small fee for the maintenance of the site.
Registered as a charity in the UK. There have no physical offices.

The Lorna Young Foundation was founded in 2003 after Lorna Young, a founder of Cafe Direct, who single-handedly achieved the first placing of fairly traded products in British supermarkets.
We work to support rural farming communities in low income countries to gain more value from the crops they grow – informing them about ethical certification schemes, how to improve crop yields, counter climate change impacts and to take more control of their own livelihoods. Our flagship Farmers’ Voice Radio initiative has trained and supported rural communities across Africa, Latin America and Asia to create and run their own community radio programmes, reaching millions of people in remote areas where other forms of communication are redundant.
We also work with marginalised communities in the UK through our Not Just Us programme, providing them with skills and support to create ethical enterprises, and with an appreciation of humanity’s collective global connectivity and interdependence.
